Let’s All Bask In The Genius Of Tom Hardy’s Myspace Page

With the greatest of respect to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, I think I speak for all us when I say, 'bring back Myspace'.

I mean, yeah, technically it's still going, but it's not the same, is it? Back in the day, choosing your favourite song to add to your profile and organising your top eight friends was about as much fun as you could have online (with an adult content-blocker on anyway).

And no page sums up the brilliance of Myspace quite like the (now closed) page belonging to Tom Hardy. Set up way before he became a movie star and a full-time heartthrob, he was posing in his undies like this:

And this:

Not sure what's going on here but look past the piles of fivers on the floor and check out that old school monitor in the background:

See, this is what Myspace was all about. It makes me want to go and see what my old page is looking like now. Probably no way near as good as this, to be fair.

When the page originally resurfaced and he was asked on Sky News what he thought of the old pics, he responded with: "I've got no shame about my MySpace photos, especially the one of me in my underpants which is a glorious photo of a man in his natural habitat.

"In America, they say 'you should be ashamed of this' but I'm actually not remotely ashamed – that is me in my natural habitat, thank you.

"I might not be an Adonis, but I like to think of myself as an Adonis in that photo."

You tell 'em, mate. I'm only gutted that it's been deleted, and we can no longer go on and put him in our top eight.

Of course, Tom is no stranger to viral fame – who can forget this wonderful clip of him practising lines with his late dog Woody:

The clip of Tom shows him putting on his best 'Bane' voice and speaking into a – God, is that a cricket box? – while his bewildered dog looks on.

The star can be heard saying: "Oh, you think darkness is your ally. But you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, moulded by it.

"I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding."

Amazing.
