About the Be Afraid Movie Trailer
Not long after John Chambers and his family arrive at their new home in a small country town of Pennsylvania, John begins to experience sleep paralysis. Lying there paralyzed, trapped within his own nightmare, other-worldly beings visit John. They are entities which exist in the darkest shadows of the night and can only be seen out of the corner of one's eye. These encounters begin to haunt John, transforming to complete terror as he discovers the entities' sole purpose… the abduction of his seven year old son. In the end, John will uncover the town's horrific secret, a portal on his land, and make one last attempt to save his son before the shadow people permanently take him away to their world.

  1. Leo! Anyone a Charmed fan?

  2. was that Freddie?

  3. 1:10 even in a horror movie, we can’t escape Candy Crush invites.

  4. that guy has an awesome voice….big dude from underworld

  5. I’m finding it hard to wrap my head around the fact that a monster/demon would actually wear a hat

    • Sleep paralysis is a demon attack in your sleep. I’ve had it happen to me once, my arm was sore. I could barely lift it even to elbow length & it left handprints not human bruises on my arm & neck & it choked me. It would not let me go until I kept rebuking it in my head & finally I was free it was gone. All I could think about was my kid next to me & being very scared it was going to do something to her & my aunt did a few times as well experience the demonic sleep paralysis & my grandma like twice. This isn’t a joking matter & until you know or experience it yourself just hush. Now I do believe there is regular sleep paralysis, but you know when you know if something sinister & there. Oh the top hat demon infamous for alot & my least favorite is the fact he appears to well pretty much warn you death is coming very soon

    • its hatman, urban myth people see when having sleep paralysis

    • It’s black hat πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    • I would think they are playing on the mythos that a lot of people who experience sleep paralysis (hypnagogia) claim that a dark entity wearing a hat appears near them, just staring at them. Sometimes with red glowing eyes. Pretty bizarre for people across the planet to experience similar lucid states while entering the realm of sleep… if anything, this would make me watch this more, but I fear it would only be a plot device and wouldn’t embrace the total experience that people have had in real life.

    • +MrGreyjeep I get what you’re saying, but it’s still a monster in a hat, I don’t think I’d be able to take him seriously

  6. I have suffered from sleep paralysis and night terrors my whole life. i have never seen shadow people though .mine are always floating heads hovering over me while I can’t move with a feeling of overwhelming terror.

    • Not so much on the night terrors for me, but have had sleep paralysis through out most of my life. A lot of it I think might have to do with my lucid dreaming, and not being able to stay asleep while dreaming. There is quick rush of fear when I wake up and can’t move, and it was bad the first few times, but now that it has happened so much that the rush of fear is short and less intense. I just follow the advise of Uma Thruman’s character in Kill Bill. I stay calm and “Wiggle my big toe”… Once that toes starts wiggling I can either get up, or try to go back to sleep.
I suggest anyone who suffers from sleep paralysis to give this a try.

Oh, and I never felt or saw “shadow people” either. Most of the time I just felt like I was in some kind of danger; more real world kind of stuff. Things like a killer breaking into my house to kill me kind of stuff.

    • it gets better.

    • how can one induce this sleep paralysis

    • jim caudillo Dude get an exorcism asap!!

    • jim caudillo What you can do is pray about it, helps a lot . God is with you and if you don’t believe in god then idk what.

  12. Leo the Ex Angel and Dean with a Shotgun!!

  13. oh hell no

  14. I was wondering where Leo went!

  15. I have sleep paralysis (actually had it last night) so even if this movie is awful I will probably end up seeing whatever he’s seeing so I think I’ll skip this one.

  16. When the guy in this movie says ‘everyone experiences sleep paralysis once in their life’ is that true because from what I’ve heard it’s scary af

    • Bratayleyfan the only ones i have experienced is something holding me and i can’t move or scream i feel like i am awake but something has me gripped and can’t do anything until i say jesus a bunch of times it lets me go and i wake up! Scary as fuuuck!! I am not even lying! I think its a demon that hold on to me but hey everyone has their own beliefs

    • Its only absolutely terrifying while its happening, unless youre unfortunate enough to be the kind that gets locked in to it and cant wake yourself up. Some dont get trapped as bad.

    • Kobe blew a 3-1 lead

it’s not that bad. just edgy kids like to say they have it so you think their life is harder than it actually is.

    • lone wrecche I am 15 and never experienced it.

    • It is a natural phenomenon. I’ve experienced it since I was a child. It’s only scary if you let it be. Knowing that it’s not real, that you can even control it to some degree, lets you play with it. I quite like it, even if there are dogs attacking me with smashed off snouts, tongues lashing and necks gurgling, as they try to bite me, and all I can feel is their gaping throats convulsing around my fingers… Fear is when you run from something. Strength is when you face it.

  17. it that the guy from sleepwalkers?

  18. Ain’t that the dude from Stephen Kings SleepWalkers
