Fox News analyst dares Susan Rice to run against Susan Collins — so she can be questioned about Benghazi

On Fox News Thursday, a conservative pundit dared former Ambassador Susan Rice to run against embattled Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME).

“This is developing tonight, just days after Susan Collins decided to back Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, former Obama administration official Susan Rice hints that she may challenge Collins for the U.S. Senate seat in 2020, accusing Collins of betraying women,” Fox News personality Martha MacCallum reported.

Conservative pundit Tammy Bruce, President of the Independent Women’s Voice, said those arguing Sen. Collins betrayed women are creating “false framework” because “real feminism” is about due process.

Bruce, a Washington Times columnist, said, “I think Susan Rice should run.”

“She’s never run for office before and it would be a great chance to ask about the lie with a YouTube video involving Benghazi,” she argued.

“Susan Collins is one of the most popular politicians and one of the most popular senators in the country,” Bruce argued, citing Sen. Collin’s reelection numbers not from her most recent campaign in 2014, but from her 2008 reelection effort.

“She’s got a state that loves her and when it comes to what her future will be in 2020, she can do whatever she wants,” Bruce claimed.
