MLB reveals NLCS & ALCS start times

Major League Baseball on Tuesday announced the start times for the first few games of each League Championship Series games, with the NLCS beginning Friday and the ALCS starting up on Saturday.

There is a game in prime time every night, but the days to watch are Saturday, Oct. 13 and Monday, Oct. 16, as well as potentially Wednesday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 20, as those are the days with two games. For now, we only have start times for the first two games of each series, taking us through Sunday.

The ALCS will feature the defending champion Houston Astros and either the 108-win Boston Red Sox or the 100-win New York Yankees (8:09 p.m. ET). The Red Sox would have home field advantage over the Astros, but Houston would hold home field advantage over the Yankees.

The ALCS gets the prime time game in the first of those four dual days, on Saturday, with the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers’ NLCS getting the afternoon slot.

The start times for the remainder of the series will be revealed at a later date. Here are the game times that we know (all times ET):

Friday, Oct. 12

NLCS Game 1: Dodgers at Brewers, 8:09 p.m. (FS1)

Saturday, Oct. 13

NLCS Game 2: Dodgers at Brewers, 4:09 p.m. (Fox)

ALCS Game 1: Astros at Red Sox, 8:09 p.m. (TBS)

Sunday, Oct. 14

ALCS Game 2: Astros at Red Sox, 7:09 p.m. (TBS)

Fox and FS1 will televise the National League Championship Series, with games called by Joe Buck, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci. Game will be shown online through Fox Sports Go. The American League Championship Series will run on TBS, with Brian Anderson, Ron Darling and Lauren Shehadi on the call. Online streaming is available through and fuboTV.
